If you're looking to explore the backcountry, but aren't ready to give up alpine downhill performance, you're looking for the Salomon Shift MNC 13 120 Ski Binding. It's a revolutionary design that combines a pin-style toe to lock into your boot's tech inserts while you're skinning uphill, then converts back to a traditional alpine binding for the way back downhill. That means you get the performance and response of a Low Profile Chassis, as well as the safety of a fully indemnified multi-angle release. Add in the way the Adjustable Height Toe allows the binding to be set to work with either traditional alpine sole standards or several different high-traction touring soles, you really can do it all without ever having to change your bindings.
