Product Details

Waist Width

Rocker/Camber Hybrid: Uses rocker in certain zones of the ski, typically the tip, tail, or both. Great, versatile choice, offering good grip on hardpack, some float in soft snow, and easy turn initiation and transitions.

80-89: Good float in powder; typically still carve pretty well

Style: 113346

When baggage fees keep you from traveling with the whole quiver, the Volkl Kendo is the one of the most versatile skis to pack. The 89mm waist width keeps you in control on the frontside, and doesn't sink you on the backside. These skis are titanium-reinforced to give you all the power and stability you need to ride fast. Tip Rocker ensures that when you go for a powder cruise your tips don't sink and send you flying. The Volkl Kendo is frequently described as one of the most fun skis out there. Probably because there's so little it can't do.

"I am an upper intermediate/lower advanced skier looking to do more in moguls and trees but still have a ski that can handle packed powder and ice and fast steep runs. Looking at charts, my ski size with rocker seems right in between the Kendo sizes. I am 6' tall and 175 to 180 lbs. Should I go with 177s or 184s?"

"Yes this ski would be a good choice for a mixture run of powder and mogul as it has a hybrid rocker/camber. The elevated rocker in the tips, allow it to float through the powder, while the camber will allow bite on the pack powder and ice. With your height and weight, and depending if you would like to go faster, I would recommend the 184's. However 177's will work perfect too. It all comes down to what feels the best."
