"Take a look at the sizing chart located to the right of the product picture. Matching your measurements up with the ones the vendor recommends for this garment is the best way to ensure a proper fit."

"Would you recommend these Spyder pants over the Tailored Winner Spyder pant for skiing? At least as far as warmth and water resistance go? I'm leaning towards the orb for fit, but I don't want to be cold! Help!"

Question by Stephanie on 12/29/2011 - 5:04 pm
"The Spyder Winner Insulated Ski Pant is going to be warmer and keep you drier. It has 10K Waterproofing and 10K Breathability as opposed to the Spyder Orb Soft Shell Ski Pant which is only water-resistant. The Winner Pant also has 60g ThermaWeb™ insulation as opposed to the Orb Pant only having a fleece lining. You would need to have a heavier layer underneath the Orb Pant to stay warm."

"I'm looking for a ski pant that is tight fitted around the thighs and flares at the knee for a bootcut. Are these form fitting or looser around the thighs? If they are too loose, do you have any suggestions?"

Question by Allie on 1/5/2012 - 2:13 pm
"These pants will be perfect! they have a very feminine look and are trim and fitted, they also have the boot cut you are looking for since they are designed to fit over the ski boot."
Answer by alejandra (Peter Glenn Staff) on 1/6/2012 - 11:47 am
"Hello. I am looking for a pant that will stay dry and relatively warm in snow for Spring skiing and shovelling snow. I do not want the bulk; just need to be dry and relatively warm. I am looking at the Spyder Orb Softshell or AFRC Tech Softshell ones and was wondering if any of them would work. Thank you."

Question by Nancy on 2/10/2012 - 5:19 pm
"Both of these pants are shells so they have no insulation in them. They do have a soft fleece backing on them but there is nothing there to really keep your body heat in. However, because you will be active, you might not need all the insulation. If you are steadily moving, these pants will work for you, however, if you stay still for an extended period of time, you may start to feel the cold. The AFRC pant does have more waterproofing it in. This Spyder pant is only water-resistant."
