"Should this be a loose fit, as am a 43 inch chest and have received a size large, it feels very slightly big for me, should I exchange for a medium, or is this correct thxs"

"It should be a little loose. You still want to be able to have one layer under and still be able to have freedom of movement. Your chest size is on the smaller end of the large size as well and going for a medium will not fit well. "

"Can you get this in a 1/4 or 1/2 zip? Thanks"

"You sure can! Check out the Spyder Bandit 1/2-Zip."

"I have a 44 inch chest but 35 inch sleeves. A large would probably fit me perfectly in the body but come up short in the arms. If I go with the XL do you think it would be just way too big? I'm 6ft.2 180lbs. Or do you think I could pull it off with the jacket no looking too loose?"

"It sounds like you should really try it on before making a decision because you are right in the middle. I would recommend purchasing both sizes and then returning the one that does not work for you."

"On my computer monitor, the black color looks more navy/teal. Can you confirm the product color? "

"The black color is a true black. The fabric does have a shine to it at some angles so that may be the problem with the photo."

"I have two Spyder ski jackets and love them. Is this fleece appropriate for layering underneath the jacket?"

"This fleece is a perfect layering piece! You can wear it alone or underneath another jacket for added warmth!"

"I have a Spyder Eiger jacket. If I have a base layer, will this fleece jacket be warm enough for cold Colorado ski days (15 deg). ... Or do you have another suggested cold weather layer?"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Bruce on 11/26/2013 - 9:41 am
"This jacket will be warm enough as a mid-layer under your Eiger jacket, however given the weather conditions you are looking to ski with this jacket in, this would not be recommended as being the only item you wear alongside a baselayer. I would recommend the Spyder Foremost Core Jacket !"
Answer by Danielle (Peter Glenn Staff) on 11/26/2013 - 4:33 pm
"I have an old Spyder softshell that was water repellant for about 4 years but has since lost its luster and the zipper is starting to act up. Is this jacket gonna shed water or should I look at another model ?"

Question by BreezyLuke on 3/27/2014 - 8:23 am
"This is more of a layering piece rather than an outer layer. I would recommend you take a look at the Spyder Paramount Mid-Weight Core Sweater!"

The jacket is comfortable, but the size differences on spyder items is very frustrating. I am XL in most, but double XXL in other spyder gear. No consistency. Jacket is a little bulky. I love the red though.
