The shell has Patagonia 3-layer H2NO® Performance, which provides a completely waterproof, windproof and breathable jacket that is designed for prolonged use in extreme weather. It has a DWR coating for extra protection and is made with 100% nylon ripstop that resists tearing. A microfleece-lined neck and chin offers soft comfort and prevents chafing when you are navigating the trails. When the clouds clear, and the sun is shining, you can stuff it into the waist pocket and clip it to your backpack until you need it again.
