The shell has the 3-layer Patagonia H2NO® Performance, which is completely waterproof, windproof, and breathable. It has a DWR coating for extra protection and is made with 100% nylon ripstop that resists tearing. It stuffs into the waist pocket and has a carabiner clip-in loop that you can attach to your backpack when you head out onto the trails. When it begins to pour, the Torrentshell is designed for prolonged use in extreme weather, so it will keep you dry. An adjustable hood with visor, a drawcord hem, and adjustable cuffs dial in the fit and will be sure to protect you no matter what Mother Nature throws at you.
