Question by Debster on 1/7/2015 - 8:18 pm
"Patagonia doesn't temperature-rate this jacket because there are so many factors, like what you wear underneath, natural susceptibility to cold, wind, etc. However, I would wear this as outerwear in very cold temperatures, probably down to about 15°F, as long as the weather is dry and not terribly windy. "

"Is this a warm enough coat for skiing in New England? "

Question by jlb on 1/8/2015 - 12:26 pm
"This is a very warm jacket, but it's designed for casual wear, not skiing. It is not waterproof, so prolonged exposure to snow would cause both the insulation and you to get wet, which would make you cold. Check out our ski jackets to ensure you get something specifically designed for skiing."
