"Hi, Looking for a jacket that is both warm and water resistant. When I filter to select jackets that meet that criteria, this obermeyer jacket shows up, but the description/specs do not provide any information regarding waterproof qualities. can you help?"

"Waterproof and water-resistent are two different things. This jacket is water resistent, so in light mist type situations, you will stay dry. Water might even bead up and roll off if you spill something on it (for example). However it is NOT waterPROOF. You cannot use this in the rain or full on wet elements. Water will eventually seep in and you will be wet. "

Comments about Obermeyer Atlas Insulator Jacket Men's, Black, XL:

Sleeves were extraordinarily long. Ridiculously long and the cuffs extremely wide. Factory defect? Maybe. Paid for shipping and lost.

Excellent jacket, would buy again

Comments about Obermeyer Atlas Insulator Jacket Men's, Black, M:

Great jacket, fits excellent, not bulky or boxy. I am more athletic fit. this fits like athletic fit shirts, trim in waist and some room in shoulders. Very warm, great soft shell. I wear this around town and would be my softshell layer Heli skiing or just at the local downhill resort resort.
