The North Face Snowfuse Boot is a warm, waterproof, go-anywhere winter boot. The Snowfuse is durably made, and reliably weatherproof. 200g of Heatseeker insulation is cold-rated all the way down to -25°F, with a soft fleece lining for extra comfort. The design is waterproof to keep feet dry, with a nylon shank to support the arch. If you spend long hours on your feet you'll appreciate the comfy EVA cushioning inside. A TNF Winter Grip sole provides sure footing in slippery situations.

"Thank you for your question! The waterproofing on these boots is applied to the outside of the boot, meanwhile the heat insulation is found on the inside. As long as the level or water or snow you are in is below the topline of the boot, then you will not have to worry about water penetrating the boot. The best type of boot for knee-deep water levels would be rain boots or fishing waders. I hope this information helps! "
