We just received our jackets yesterday. The main purpose of this two-jacket combo was for my girls to go skiing. I was surprised at how thin the inner fleece lining was. We have gotten other fleece jackets from North Face, and they are so nice and thick, but this one is Much more thin. I just do not see how this jacket could be warm enough to wear skiing in cold temperatures. In a nutshell, this jacket would be best for a fall or spring cool, rainy day, but not for the harsh winters of the Northwest or for the temperatures involved in skiing.

Comments about The North Face Osolita Triclimate Ski Jacket Girls', Cha Cha Pink, L:

Got each of my daughters one of these so they would have a fleece and a rain coat. The color options and great, but the two don't zip together and the liner does not have pockets! Had to wash the fleece twice to stop the shedding (this wasn't a problem with last years Osolitas). My oldest daughter separated hers this past weekend to wear separate and there's a huge area under one arm where the sleeve was never sewn on. It's January so I'm not going to ship it off to repair for 8 weeks - I'll have to sew it myself. Our entire family has quite a few North Face jackets and this is the first time I've been disappointed....seems I'm not the only one complaining about this jacket.

We have purchased multiple North Face jackets in the past and were always happy but not with this jacket. The fleece has no pockets and does not zip into the shell so my daughter who is 7 needs to zip up two jackets every time she wears it.

Bought for my daughter but very disappointed when it arrived. Unlike most of the triclimate jackets, this one had 2 layers but they did not zip together and the only place where they tied together was the sleeves. Not even the neck. Not sure how warm it would be as well. It like a shell with a light weight fleece put together. For my child who will be out on the sloped for 8hrs this is not going to work.

          Fleece sheds; wouldn't accept return

          By

          from Cincinnati, OH

Comments about The North Face Osolita Triclimate Ski Jacket Girls', Cha Cha Pink, L:

This is the eighth North Face fleece our family has purchased, but it is now the last. The fleece sheds everywhere. I tried washing it multiple times, but the mint green fleece continues to shed everywhere. My daughter wears it to school and it is all over her clothes by the time she gets there. I tried returning it but couldn't because it had been washed and worn. I called customer service and was told it could be sent to the warranty center for 6-8 weeks but there were no guarantees on the outcome and that I would likely receive a credit for 50% off my next jacket. Very disappointed in the product as well as the company response.

Comments about The North Face Osolita Triclimate Ski Jacket Girls', Cha Cha Pink, L:

This jacket has been such a disappointment after having some really nice Northface jackets for my daughter in the past. First the lining does not zip into the shell, so you have to zip up both coats when you wear it, which is a huge hassle for a child. Also whenever she takes the jacket off the lining ends up all weird, and the shell ends up turning inside out because the ONLY place that these two jackets connect is the buttons at the wrist. This makes it very challenging for her to put the jacket back on. The lining is not very thick, soft yes, but not going to keep my daughter warm unless she has a sweater or something warm on underneath it. Another thing that is really questionable is that the lining has no pockets, which is so strange for Northface jackets. All and all I really regret buying this jacket, and wish I could return it.

          Fleece sheds

Comments about The North Face Osolita Triclimate Ski Jacket Girls', Cha Cha Pink, L:

The fleece does not zip into the outer jacket, so my daughter has to keep track of two pieces when she removes it. (It attaches by three button loops which do not hold it together.) Also, the fleece sheds everywhere. We bought the mint green one and I have washed it several times, but it leaved little green fuzz on her clothes, on the seat in the car. I regret buying it.

Comments about The North Face Osolita Triclimate Ski Jacket Girls', Cha Cha Pink, L:

The colors of this jacket are lovely; the fleece is super soft and warm. My daughter *loves* this 2-for-1 jacket, but I think there are two design flaws. 1) The fleece jacket does not zip into the shell, so when she wears both, she has to zip both. This is cumbersome and cheap. 2) The fleece does not have pockets, which is impractical for a child's jacket. Given the price, I would have chosen a different jacket if I had been more aware of these design problems. I now see that the website says that the fleece jacket snaps in, which it does in each sleeve (not even at the neck), but this should be more prominently featured on the site. I won't make this mistake twice.
