The North Face Free Thinker GORE-TEX® Shell Ski Jacket is one of the most technical women's coats that The North Face makes. They used GORE-TEX® Pro Shell fabric which provides the maximum waterproof/ breathable protection so you can stay out in bad weather. This is a shell style so it's uninsulated. This is convenient because you can change the warmth with what you layer underneath. There are loads of features in the Free Thinker Jacket, like Recco®, pockets, a powder skirt, and helmet-compatible hood.

"What are the exact measurements for the size S? Is it a tight fit or can you layer underneath?"

"Measurements for sizing can be found in the size chart, including sleeve length. The centerback measurement for this jacket is 26.5". The North Face is pretty generous with their sizing, so if you normally wear a size small in jackets and other clothing, then you should be OK ordering a size small. "
