Faster skiers demand an aggressive boot, and that's why Nordica made the Firearrow F3 Ski Boot. The flex is stiff, but it's dynamic. That means as you flex deeper into the boot (which happens when you ski faster or make more aggressive turns) the flex increases giving you the support you need. By placing the 3rd buckle right at the instep Nordica provides maximum heel hold, and also makes it way easier to get in and out.

    • Flex Rating: Progressive up to 115
    • Last Width: 100mm

    • Dynamic progressive flex stiffens as you deepen the flex for more support

" I'm looking for an all mountain boot for a 55 year old inter-advanced skier. Whats your best suggestion on an all mountain all day semi aggressive nordica boot?"

"The boot you are looking at is a great boot, as long as your feet are not wide. These boots have an adjustable flex on the back. So, you can adjust it when you knees are getting tired or when you want to go faster. "

"What ski boot would you recommend for an advanced skier with a wide foot? I wear New Balance 9EEEE training shoes."

""If you're not sure of your size, you definitely need to go into a shop and be fitted for your proper size in ski boots before purchasing them online. "

"What is the difference between these Nordica Firearrow F3 Ski Boots (Men's) that are priced at $449 and the other Nordica Firearrow F3 Ski Boot (Men's) that are priced at $399? I'm assuming that one is a 2013 model and the other is a 2012 model? Also, if that is correct, can you please tell me the difference(s) between the 2013 vs. the 2012? Thanks."

"You are exactly right about the model years of the boots. The lower priced boot is from 2011/2012 and the higher priced boot is from 2012/2013. The only difference in the two are the liners. They improved the liner in this years boot to make it more comfortable. "

"Please compare this boot to the out-of-production Speed Machine, which fit me particularly well."

"This boot fits completely different. It is a 3 piece cabriolet style vs the traditional 2 piece the Speedmachine was. Much lower/tighter across the instep. While it was designed to replace the Speedmachine, it does not fit the same."

"I just email a few minutes ago. I have a Nordica hot rod bought in 2007. how does this boot compare, my old boots are comfortable but I do occasionally get some heal lift. Are they the same width?"

Question by Rich on 7/16/2015 - 1:05 pm
"These boots have a width of 100mm and the Hot Rod's have a width of 102mm so these will be a little bit more narrow. The flex varies on the Hod Rod so I am not sure which one you currently have. These Firearrows have a flex of 115 which makes this an advanced boot. These would be a step up from the Hot Rod's so if you are advancing, these would be a good choice!"
