The Never Summer Proto Synthesis X Wide Snowboard is the latest version of a research and development platform that’s been running ten years strong. The Proto line has debuted technologies like the Perforated Rocker Pad, which still rides at the center of the board where your pressure is the highest to take the harsh edge off heavy landings, and together with the RDS 2 Damping System smooths vibrations when you’re riding in less than ideal conditions. That means you’ll be in an ideal position to take advantage of everything the Shockwave Rocker Camber Profile has to offer, including added power and pop from the extended sections of traditional camber, and the enhanced agility from the rocker riding between your bindings.

• Large sections of traditional camber run from underneath your feet out to the tip and tail, providing more power for pop, carving, and confident control in icy conditions
• A section of rocker between the bindings makes the board more agile by acting like a pivot point, allowing for super quick cornering in the park or lining up for some sidehits
• Twin Shape rides more predictably switch making 180s, and 540s, a bit less scary
• Extended Transition Areas at either end move the board gradually from camber up to the kick at the tip and tail, allowing for full-edge engagement on the snow for improved hold and control
• Low Profile Nose and Tail increases the board’s surface area on soft snow, enhancing float while reducing drag on hard snow
• Power Grip Sidecut is a variable-radius design that helps the board track straight when riding flat on the base, and engages the edges earlier in the turn for improved initiation performance
