Skill Range Skate Use Wheel Size

Intermediate/Advanced: Offers improved speed and maneuverability. Ideal for skaters with a solid foundation looking for more performance.

Urban: Ideal for commuting - these skates have a durable design and improved cushioning, and are a great option for tricks too

100mm wheels

Style: I180202

Commuting, cruising, or working on fitness, the K2 Trio Mens Inline Skate does better with three wheels than most skates can manage with four. That's because by eliminating the extra wheel K2 also eliminated a lot of weight, which makes the more comfortable Urban Cuff design even more effective at getting the most out of the Original SoftBoot® construction. Plus it leaves space for extra large 100mm wheels, giving you better stability at speed and a smoother ride than smaller wheels could ever offer.

KEY FEATURES
  • Three large wheels roll smoother than four smaller wheels while being significantly lighter

A:
"Thank you for your inquiry. We carry two pairs of inline skates in men's size 14. The K2 F.I.T 84 Pro Inline Skates (Style:I180200701) and Rollerblade RB XL Inline Skates (Style:078489001A1). We hope this information helps! "

Q:
"I'm trying to decide between the K2 Men's Vo2 Boa that has 100mm wheels and the K2 Trio that also has 100 mm wheels. I've been using a K2 90 mm wheel skate for long time and thinking I'd like to go to a larger diameter wheel for more speed. I skate mainly for aerobic workout - been skating a long time. I skate on roads with not much traffic, but the road surface can vary from quite smooth to rather rough. I'd welcome your thoughts! Thanks."

Question by Jim Latimer on 5/24/2019 - 1:06 pm
A:
"Thank you for your inquiry. The "K2 Trio 100 Inline Skates" has 3 - 100 mm wheels with a durometer hardness of 90a. This skate is going to be a bit faster than the "K2 VO2 S 100 Boa Inline Skate" which has 4 wheels (2 rear at 100 mm and then 2 front at 90 mm). The Trio is going to offer you greater speeds while its framing is built for absorbing the shock/impact you may experience when transitioning over to the rougher surfaces you have indicated. Additionally, the frame of the Trio is interchangeable. We think the Trio will be a great fit for you. We hope this information helps with your Peter Glenn selection and purchase!"

A:
"We would recommend sizing your sons foot you can either do it in CM or inches and match that to our sizing chart. We would recommend going with his sneaker size of a 11.5. Have a good day!"

Q:
"How do these compare to the Macroblade 100 3WD?"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Jay on 5/29/2020 - 1:29 am
A:
"The K2 Trio is a softer and wider skate. The frame on the Trio is removable and the wheels can be rockered. There is also no buckle like on the Macroblade 100 3WD. Hope this information helps. "
