"What does camber mean vs rocker/flat on a snowboard? "

"Hey Jeff, great question! Snowboard companies have been coming out with tons of different shapes for their boards over the last couple of years, and they are all for different types of riding. A traditional camber profile is a board that is arched up between the feet, so the center of the board is lifted with two contact points in the tail and two in the nose. This is an aggressive board, good for intermediate to advanced riders. It's going to be a very lively and responsive. A rockered board is the opposite of a traditional camber where the tail and nose rise up and the center is lower. This is a great board for beginners as it is loose, playful, and easy to ride. A flat board is a middle ground between a traditional camber and rocker, it is flat throughout, making it easy to ride, and generally great in all conditions, but not really excelling in any specific area. Have fun out there!"
