Rocker/Camber Hybrid: Uses rocker in certain zones of the ski, typically the tip, tail, or both. Great, versatile choice, offering good grip on hardpack, some float in soft snow, and easy turn initiation and transitions.

90-99: Good float in powder; typically still carve pretty well

The Elan Ripstick Black Edition Ski is a premium version of one of the most talked about skis on the mountain. Just like the regular Ripstick you get Elan's advanced Amphibio Technology. While other hybrid designs change things up end to end, these skis change their shape edge to edge. So you get powerful traditional camber on the inside edges and agile rocker on the outside edges. On top of that is the TNT Technology Construction, which gives you a TubeLite Woodcore, which already cuts weight by using powerful carbon fiber tubes to transfer your power, enhanced with the chatter-reduction of VaporTip Inserts in the tip and tail of your skis.

  • Amphibio Profiling shapes the ski to be Rocker on the outside edges and camber on the inside, improving all performance aspects
  • Carbon Tubes run the length of each ski, matching the shape of the sidecut for improved durability and enhanced response
  • Rockered outside edges enhance agility, improve powder performance, and smooth edge to edge transitions

"I am an advanced skier who is 6' 1" and weighs 250 pounds. Are these durable for a person my size or would you recommend a different all mountain ski? Also, will my Marker Griffon bindings from my 2017 Volkl Mantras work?"

"These skis would be a good fit for you however my ski technicians think a better ski fit would be a Volkl. Most Volkl skis are made with metal which are good for durability. We would not recommend detaching your old bindings and putting them on the new ski for safety purposes. We hope this information helps!"
