    Q:
"What is the diference between 9/10 water proof of this vs the 10/10 water proof of the glacier Descente jacket . What is most suitable for the recreational skier? Aso what does the warmth difference mean? I know that the answers wil be obvious but as i said here above im trying to pick the right jacket of the two and wanted more then numbers to compare. Thanks for your help in advance. "

Question by Nicholas on 3/30/2013 - 12:30 pm
    A:
"The difference in waterproofing will be in the seam sealing of each jacket. The Glacier is fully seam sealed and the Canada Ski Cross is only critically seam sealed. Critically means that only the shoulder area has extra protection on the seams to keep water out. Fully seam sealed means that every seam on that jacket has extra protection. When constructing a jacket you have to sew it together. This creates holes from the needle. The extra protection seals up those holes to keep you dry and warm. Either jacket will protect you, you would just be able to wear the Glacier in more harsh conditions for a longer period of time without getting any leakage."
