"If you don't know your boot size, then you really need to be fitted in a store for ski boots as all of the brands fit differently. For your shoe size, you could be anywhere from a 25.5-27.5. Even those half sizes make a huge difference so you really should be fitted by a professional tech in a ski shop for this boot to find out the exact size that you need."

"I am also an 8.5 shoe size but with a wide forefoot. I was fitted for a 26.5 boot size. But then again everyone is different. Extremely comfortable boots compared to other ones for people with wide feet. If you have a high arch I would recommend buying some superfeet green insoles which will support your arches and protect your joints from long term wear and tear. Although any insoles comparable with ski boots will work, I was recommended the superfeet by my fitter. I hope I was able to help! Best of luck."
