The Atomic Hawx 90 Ski Boot for women offers increased stiffness that's still easy to control. Atomic put I-Flex zones in the forefoot which promote increased lateral flex through your turns. This allows you to control your skis with less of a struggle. The liner in the Hawx 90 is asymmetrical, with more padding on the recovery side of your foot. This maintains that high-performance fit while still offering warmth and comfort.

"My foot is measured 25cm.Should I buy size 25 or 25.5 (to accomodate the thick socks)? "

"You want the closest fit possible, so if you measure at 25cm then I would start with the 25. As long as you're wearing socks designed for skiing (not super-thick hunting socks) there shouldn't be a problem. If the 25 feels crazy tight you may need to size up to 25.5, but remember when you're trying them on that they're going to pack out significantly once you start skiing in them. As long as you don't wear them outside they're returnable. You could always buy both, see which one fits better, and return the one that does not work for you."

"It's my understanding that the shell sizes are the same 23.0/23.5, 24.0/24.5 so there shouldn't be any difference between 25 and 25.5. Did I misunderstand something? My real question is are these boots the current 2013/14 model year?"

"That is correct, the shell will stay the same size on those half sizes (23.5, 25.5). This boot is last year's 2012/13 model."
