The Volkl Shiro Skis are a weapon in the backcountry. These skis have rocker from tip to tail to keep you skimming across the surface instead of sinking in the soft snow. They're also wicked fat, at 119 under foot. Tough Box construction uses a wood core that's wrapped in fiberglass for good snap and rebound. Vertical sidewalls give the Shiro edge hold so you can keep it under control on the hardpack.

"I am skiing a volkl Katana 177, I like skiing the trees and big vert out west I'm looking at the shiro with the jester schitzo. I'm 5'9" 185 Im thinking of the 193 for the deep and steep or do you think 183 is sufficient. I don't want to make the wrong choice $$"

"I would recommend the 183 over the 193. This is already a wide ski that is going to keep you floating so the 183 would be perfect for you!"
