"You would be a size 171. "
Answer by Katie (Peter Glenn Staff) on 3/3/2014 - 2:46 pm
"I am 5'7" 180 lbs. I ski greens at this point. Is this a good ski model for me and do they have room to progress to blues. Does the boot you have an affect on ski choice? I have Technica Cochise 90. What are the other skis that Peter Glenn carries that I should consider? I assume the proper size for me is 171 based upon your previous response. Are all 5'7" men going to be 171? Thanks "

"This ski is a high performance option for advanced to expert skiers. I would recommend something else that would allow you to progress while still having some serious fun. Your recommended size is going to be about 160. Size will vary depending on your height, weight, skill, level, and preferred terrain. I'd recommend the Atomic Smoke Ski System with Bindings or the Head Rev 75 Ski System with Bindings!"

"I'm 6'1" apx 190 lbs, advanced skier. I ski primarily in New England but once in a while will head out west or to Europe. Would you recommend the RTM 81 or RTM 84? I'm guessing 176 cm is the right size in either one, but pls correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks for your help."

Question by Gabe on 4/22/2014 - 2:42 pm
"That really depends on what you are looking for. The two skis you are looking at have all of the same features. The only difference is the waist size. The 81 is meant to be used 80% On-Piste, 20% Off-Piste and the 84 is meant to be used 75% On-Piste, 25% Off-Piste.The 84 is a bit better at carving and is just a bit faster due to the size. Size 176 is definitely your go-to size for this ski!"
Answer by Sarah (Peter Glenn Staff) on 4/22/2014 - 4:04 pm
"Thanks for your reply, Sarah. In terms of skiing bumps, do you think there's a big difference b/t the 81 and 84. I assume both are at least OK bump skis. And one quick follow-up question...do you think the VWerks version of the RTM 84 is noticeably different (better) enough to justify the price premium."

Question by Gabe on 4/23/2014 - 1:47 pm
"I'd say you'd be okay with either one on bumps. The V-Werks model of the RTM is much lighter than the original RTM. Because it is lighter it will carve a little bit better for you and provide you with a higher performance feel. I'd say if you can get it then go for it!"
Answer by Sarah (Peter Glenn Staff) on 4/24/2014 - 9:20 am
"I just bought the RTM 81. The salesman put me in a 166. I'm 5.7in tall and weigh 168lb. I'm a good skier and use to skiing a pair of volkl Superspeed 168. I'm looking for a more versital ski. Is this ski too small? I have not skied them yet."

"What you have is perfect in size, the only time you would need something longer would be if you enjoy deep powder snow."
