"I have never been in the snow and do not know what to expect other than I know I will be cold as I travel to New York in December (in Florida 60 is cold to me). Would these socks be a good fit for me? I'm a women's 8 1/2 shoe size."

"Great question! This is not the sock that you really want to use for the level of warmth that you are looking for. This is a very lightweight sock. Check out any of the socks here which is what you will need. For most of the brands on that page, you will be a size medium for an 8.5 shoe size."

Finally a comfortable sock for tight-fitting boots Rated: 5/5

These liners are way better than socks of any weight, and did not cut off the circulation to my toes in my tight-fitting boots. Very comfortable, helped me overcome my 1 intermittent gear snafu.
