These Terramar Sock liners are great. They are lightweight and act as a "second skin" when hiking or skiing so you don't get blisters.

I wear men's size 10 1/2 shoe. What size sock should I order? Also, will these prevent friction when walking/hiking?

A medium should fit you nicely. These sock liner will keep you warm and dry while preventing blisters.

Finally a comfortable sock for tight-fitting boots

These liners are way better than socks of any weight, and did not cut off the circulation to my toes in my tight-fitting boots. Very comfortable, helped me overcome my 1 intermittent gear snafu.
