I guess a lot of people would ask "what makes a better ski pole?" Well, let me tell ya. This pole is incredibly light (meaning less arm fatigue over the course of a day). It seems to be balanced perfectly and easy to swing. It's quick, making short fall line turns fun, and the grips seem to be the perfect size. Also, an advantage over aluminum poles is that these will not bend out of shape. I've used a lot of poles and these are the best. A tip: use some sort of tape on the bottom six inches just above the basket. That way if you accidentally get it with the edge of your ski, the tape protects it.
