These mittens are gorgeous but the previous review is absolutely correct. The medium are so small I'd love to see the extra small!! I could not even get my hands in the insert and I have small hands.
Very disappointed as these would be my mittens of choice if only they would fit, I'm still giving them a high rating because of the quality.
I bought these gloves for my wife as I have the same pair in Men's gloves and they are the best thing I've ever had on the mountain.
The good:
Warmth of mittens with the comfort of gloves. I've found that mittens keep your hands warmer. The downside is that most people don't like mittens because their fingers are together. These gloves have an 'inner fabric' that separates each finger without being too thick. This keeps your fingers close but has a bit of separation so it's a lot like wearing gloves. The built in nose wiper on the right hand is nice (gross, but nice).
The bad:
Nothing really.. Like other reviews, these gloves run small.
My experience:
I ordered these from PG expecting a pair of white gloves with black trip (what was pictured at the time). What I got was a pair of black gloves and checking back on the website, PG had updated the picture displayed to reflect black. PG was quick to take care of the problem.
I love this glove but it runs very small. I have big hands for my size but I am only 5'6" so they're not huge. I ordered a medium and needed a large. My 8 year old can comfortably fit in a medium... It may be because of the lining inside. Also, I too wear mittens over gloves as they keep my hand warm, but the separated liner inside is definitely an upgrade to the conventional mitten as it keeps each finger warm while still able to move them around to maintain circulation. I highly recommend to anyone who has problems keeping their hands warm. I only wish the sizing was more accurate.
The reason I got mittens vs. gloves is because I have found they keep my hands warmer. However, in these mittens there's fabric that separates each finger from the other so it's essentially like gloves.
