Q:
"We are skiing over Easter and looking at your site for ski pants Spyder Traveler Insulate. Would you recommend them as far as having a nice fit and warmth for spring?"

Question by ann on 3/17/2012 - 3:28 pm
A:
"These pants have 40g PrimaLoft® Sport insulation which is going to be pretty warm. The amount of insulation you need is going to vary depending on how often you are actively moving and skiing as opposed to how often you will be standing still, waiting on the lift or just hanging out. These pants will definitely keep you warm. "

Q:
"How does the fit of Spyder "Traveler" pant compare to the fit of the "Circuit" pant? Which one is more relaxed? Higher rise? Both seem to offer great breathability and waterproofing with stretch fabric. Thank you. "

Question by Rossana on 10/9/2012 - 2:12 pm
A:
"These two pants are very similar. I would say that the Spyder Traveler Insulated Ski Pant is just a tad bit more fitted. It's a small difference that is not very noticeable. This pant is also going to be much warmer than the Spyder Circuit Insulated Ski Pant. It has PrimaLoft® Sport insulation which is much warmer and more compact that the 40g of Thinsulate insulation in the Circuit. Both pants come up to the same height on the waist. They would both work wonderfully, but the Traveler is going to keep you warmer."

Flattering fit, wish it had lower pockets Rated: 4/5

Ordered these ski pants to be a more feminine, flattering fit. They deliver on that front! The pants have an adjustable waist that make the fit customizable and allow me to avoid the gap that sometimes happens at the back of the top of the pants. The material is stretchy and well lined. I think they will be very comfortable to ski in and warm enough too. They are roomy enough to wear a thicker base layer or pants if need be as well.

The only thing I wish is that they had a lower leg area pocket. I like to keep my phone and/or additional more bulky items (extra hand warmers, etc.) in my ski pants towards the bottom so that they don't get in the way or make me feel too bulky up top. Seems like a small compromise for stylish, classic women's ski pants.
