"What is main difference between this jacket and Alyeska? Also, which is cut more generous for a large guy? 5'11 255 pds"

Question by Mac on 9/18/2012 - 1:49 pm
"The Spyder Alyeska Insulated Ski Jacket has 40g PrimaLoft® Sport insulation. PrimaLoft® is the best synthetic insulation you can get on the market. You don't need as much PrimaLoft® insulation vs other insulation to keep the same amount of heat in. The Spyder Alyeska Insulated Ski Jacket has stretch material on it as well. It will be a better choice for some one that doesn't want to be constrained when moving around. Another big difference between the two jackets is that the Spyder Alyeska Insulated Ski Jacket is fully taped vs critically taped seams. Fully taped seams will keep out water in all the seams vs the critically taped, where it is located in key spots only. Both are cut the same way. So, the Spyder Alyeska Insulated Ski Jacket would be a better choice for its insulation, stretch fabric, and fully taped seams. "

Sentinel is nice and warm   Rated: 4/5

Nice, warm jacket. Runs a tad small. I use it as a ski jacket. Went to Killington expecting 25-30 weather and it was only 5 to 15 degrees. Jacket kept me warm and it's very windproof. Not quite as many pockets as I would like, though.
