The Spyder Power Insulated Ski Jacket is longer than most of the other styles, providing extra protection from snow. The fabric is very waterproof, so you can stay out in nasty weather without getting wet. Spyder wanted the Power Jacket to be very comfortable so they gave it stretch fabric and different weights of insulation in different zones. It's heavier in the core for warmth, and lighter in the sleeves for freedom of movement. There's also a complete Bemis® overlay to protect the fabric from abrasion.

"How long is this jacket? Is this size really 18 or a smaller 18. Do you have any Spyder jacket for women in Size 20? Normaly i need in German Size 46/48. "

"The measurements for the size 18 can be found here. The center back measures 27". Currently we have no Spyder jackets in a size 20, however you should checkout our great selection of Obermeyer jackets here. We have some really great styles to choose from!"

"What is the flap that kinda looks like a tie at the neck?"

Question by Question on 5/7/2013 - 10:50 pm
"That is a storm flap. It helps keep water or snow out of the top of your jacket and it is more comfortable for you because it covers the zipper and protects your skin. "

"Is this a fitted or loose fit jacket?"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Aussie on 5/30/2013 - 9:38 pm
"As far as ski jackets are concerned, this is a loose or more relaxed fit, since most women's ski jackets are very fitted. However compared to a snowboard jacket, as snowboard jackets are very relaxed in their fit, this jacket would seem more fitted than a traditional snowboard jacket. "

"I'm looking at the multi-color white jacket but am concerned about it getting dirty. How resistant is it to stains and how easily can you "wipe off" dirt? Thanks!"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Candace on 8/20/2013 - 11:49 am
"Great question! Actually, due to the Spylon™ DWR that is coated on the outer fabric, this helps to resist stains and makes it easier to wipe them off. As long as you don't let a stain sit for too long, you should be able to simply wipe it off with a wet cloth. If the stain is heavy or has set, then laundering the jacket (following the washing instructions) should remove any dirt/stains. "

""Hello, I'm trying to decide between this and the Sunice Miata. Is the hood on Spyder Power helmet compatabile? The hood on the Sunice looks so very comfy - but I don't believe it the Sunice Miata has armpit vents, does it? "

Question by Mary on 10/23/2013 - 9:09 pm
"Both hoods on this jacket and the Sun Ice Miata jacket are helmet compatible. The Miata does have the pit ventilation as well. "

Love the fit, color, and quality of the material in this jacket...however, the wrist gaitors are very thin and are too short for even my short arms. I also could not find a dee ring to attach my ticket to, and the holes in the zipper pulls are too small to get the plastic zip tie through:-{ My husband took the circle ring from my lanyard and got it through a zipper pull, but those two little design flaws are frustrating!!!
