The Spyder Outbound Mid-Weight 1/2-Zip Core Sweater looks like a normal ski sweater, but it's way more technical. While the exterior is a sleek ribbed sweater knit, the lining is a soft fleece that insulates against the cold. Stretch panels under the arms eliminate any bulky feeling, and allow you to comfortably layer the Outbound Sweater under your ski jacket. This Core Sweater has mid-weight fabric, which is great for layering in nearly all temperatures. In the fall and spring you can wear it alone as a comfy everyday pullover.
- Mid-weight fabric great for layering and stand-alone in milder weather
- 100% polyester cable knit exterior fabric
- 100% polyester fleece lining
- Anti-pill fleece stays looking new longer
- 1/2-zip style for easy on/off
- Stretch fleece panels under the arms for more freedom of movement
- Center back measures 27 1/4"

This sweater is okay if your just planning on wearing it out to dinner. My husband wore it for a week and it has already started to pill and snag in the front. This is not a rugged outerwear item.
I own 4 of these sweaters. It is a great winter sweater, cleaner look than most fleece pullovers. Warmer than a typical fleece, though not heavier weight wise. I use it alone on those not so cold days or will wear a soft shell vest. I have worn it alone on those great spring days. Also a great layer piece for skiing
Only problem-Watch out for velcro. I threw one in my ski bag and my gloves velcro snagged the "sweater stitch". It isn't that it pills- because it doesn't. If you are paying $100.00 for a sweater, protect it.
I said I had 4, you might say I like it - a lot.
They feel great while wearing, and breathe comfortably on the sides. This is one of those that doesn't feel too tight. Peter Glenn also carries the larger sizes (which meant a no brainer for me to purchase)
