One of Spyder's most technical men's Ski Jackets, the Spyder Pinnacle Insulated Ski Jacket offers the best in cutting-edge design. This jacket is made with an OSMO membrane, which boasts an incredible 30K breathability rating. By upping the breathability, Spyder ensures moisture won't build up in your layers. By keeping you dry, OSMO fabric keeps you much warmer overall. Because of this, the Pinnacle Jacket doesn't need as much insulation, so it won't feel bulky. Spyder used PrimaLoft insulation which is extremely thermally efficient also. This means you stay plenty warm, but your jacket feels light and comfortable.

"What is the difference between this years and the last years model?"

Question by mike_mcadam_21286 on 8/25/2014 - 9:23 pm
"This jacket is very similar to the jacket from last year. Very small changes were made, mostly in the look of the jacket itself. There is nothing significant that has been changed. "

"Can you tell me the jacket in term of insulated? Can it withstand the cold wind with windchill factor in -20 to -40??"
2 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Long on 12/3/2014 - 9:12 am
"This jacket would mostly be recommended for temperatures around 15° to 30°F. That is only a recommendation as your layering pieces will also factor into what temperature you could wear it in. "
Answer by Sarah (Peter Glenn Staff) on 12/3/2014 - 9:45 am
"Hi! I have the Pinnacle and I have worn it in very cold weather with x-bionic base-layer and a thin mid-layer. It was so cold with the wind added that my face and my feet(in warm boots) started to hurt at speed and after a while, but the rest of the body felt good still. So it's a great jacket even for cold days. Also Davos pants held great. "

"What is the weight of this Jacket? Is the material 2L or 3L? How does it compare to GORE-TEX 3L in-terms of durability and waterproofness?"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by skidad on 2/17/2015 - 8:20 pm
"I can't compare this to GORE-TEX, because nothing compares to GORE-TEX. In terms of whether this is 2L or 3L, I'm not sure what Spyder has done here during construction. There is an outer shell, a waterproof membrane and a liner. But GORE-TEX determines a 3L product (theirs) when the waterproof membrane (GORE-TEX) is bonded to both layers. This jacket IS WATERPROOF though, so regardless of 2L vs 3L, you won't get wet."

"I got this jacket but don't know how to open the fully seam-sealed. Can you tell me?"

Question by Angel on 7/1/2015 - 8:49 pm
"You should not open the seams. The fully seam sealed feature keeps the jacket waterproof and keeps you dry!"

Great Coat, but too expensive for what you get

I love this Spyder ski jacket, but for that price it is, it should have offered much more. Spyder has several other coats that are just as nice and have all of the same features that come in better colors for less.
