Product Details

Style: 103572

Popular every year, the Spyder Core 1/2-Zip Sweater gives the performance you need for an on-the-slopes mid-layer, and the design you want for hanging out in town after. The fabric is a high-quality synthetic knit made soft and warm with a fleece backing. This ski sweater is very breathable and engineered to be articulated to your movements. That means that the Core both insulates and releases excess heat when needed, and also offers freedom of movement so your layering system doesn't feel bulky.

  • Ribbed Polyester sweater knit
  • Soft fleece backing adds warmth
  • Anti-pill fleece stands up to multiple washings
  • Strategic design for freedom of movement
  • 1/2-zipper design for wearing convenience

Hi. I'm seeking a mid-layer for skiing in some frigid temps in Canada. Which spyder offers the greatest warmth? The Core Sweater, or something like the Outlaw Jacket? I also don't want too much bulk. Thx.

This Core sweater is great, however the Outlaw is made of Polartec 200 fleece which is really warmer and softer.

Thanks for the quick response. Is the outlaw jacket a loose fit vs the core sweater, and is one "bulkier" than the other? Thx

Thanks again. I presume the core sweater is more of a fitted garment than the outlaw jacket. Is one bulkier than the other? I would be wearing under a more fitted ski jacket rather than a loose bulky, what I would describe as a snowboard style jacket.

The Core is definitely thinner, however the Outlaw is not bulky at all. if your jacket has enough insulation the Core will be not only a good option but add a very fashionable and polished look.

Is this the mid-weight or heavy-weight sweater? Was last year's model mid- or heavy-weight?
Question by Scott

This is a mid-weight sweater. Spyder makes both the mid and the heavy in this model.

VERY NICE VERY WARM

GREAT SWEATER, WELL BUILT, FLEECE LINED, AND VERY WARM. MY JOB REQUIRES ME TO MAKE MANY QUICK TRIPS OUTSIDE DURING THE WINTER, AND IT IS NICE TO ZIP IT UP WHEN I GO OUT AND ZIP IT BACK DOWN WHEN I COME BACK IN WITHOUT HAVING TO ADD OR REMOVE LAYERS.

warm and stylish

Good product. Very, very thick. Stylish good quality. But no pocket at all. The waist is open, no string. Not very versatile for slopes, but I am pleased with the quality and style.

The 1/2 zip is incredible. Well worth the money and looks very stylish as well. I would highly recommend this sweater and Peter Glenn.
