The Spyder Full-Zip Core Sweater adds insulating warmth to your layering system for skiing, or works alone over clothes to add cold protection for everyday errands. The sweater knit is a breathable polyester, but the whole thing is backed with fleece. This helps keep you extra warm, but doesn't hinder the breathability of your system.

No, this is not waterproof it is a mid-layer.
