I am trying to decide/compare between the Spyder Winner Pants and the Circuit Pants. Can you explain the difference between the 60g ThermaWeb insulation in the Winner and the 40g Thinsulate insulation in the Circuit? Does the higher Fabric Rating of 20K Waterproofing / 20K Breathability on the Circuit pants make up for the difference in insulation? (can you also confirm that it's 20K/20K?? I recall seeing a different rating elsewhere...) Thanks for your help!

Both of these Spyder pants are a great selection and there is not much difference in the insulation. ThermaWeb is Spyders own brand of insulation and is very similar to Thinsulate. A product's waterproofness doesn't directly keep you warm. (It indrectly keeps you warm by keeping you dry.) 10K waterproofing is plenty though, so if you want the extra little bit of insulation, then go for the Winner. Both pants are critically seamed and are made out of a comfy stretch material.

I have a slight pear body shape so it's hard for me to find ski pants that are flattering without looking too bulky. After trying on countless styles at several ski shops, I bought a pair of the Spyder Circuit pants ...in White! Yes, white - a color typically avoided by women looking to deflect attention to their lower body. These pants are not stretchy but they do do loosen up a bit after washing. They provide plenty of leg room without too much bulk. (I already own the stretchy type of ski pants but they do a poor job of keeping my legs warm). The insulation keeps me much warmer and the cut and design of the back pockets make them flattering to anyone with a little more rear end. I just bought a second pair and am loving them. Definitely buy a size larger than you wear in pants; Spyder runs small to size. The Circuit pant has integrated waist adjusters which also help keep the cold out when sitting on the chair lift.

I sized up one size and they fit fine. Warm, stylish, lots of zippeered pockets.

The fit is good. The material seems pretty strong. The color matches the jacket I bought last year, thank goodness. I have had Spyder products in the past and they wear well over time so I have every expedtation that these ski pants will do the same.
