"I want to buy this jacket for my son. He is 10 and average to small for age. I want it to last a few years before he grows out of it. Is it true to size or does it run small or large?"

"Spyder runs true to size but if he is in between sizes we recommend that he sizes up. You can definitively get him a size bigger just keep in mind that the sleeve size would be an inch longer."

"Can you please tell which is the better jacket the challenger or the Avenger jacket for boys "

Question by Sam on 5/27/2012 - 12:05 am
"Both jackets have the same waterproofing and breathability as well as the same insulation. The Avenger Ski Jacket has a couple of extra features that this jacket does not have, such as the Bemis® anti-abrasion overlay for durability and a removable balaclava. Both are really great jackets, I would recommend the Avenger because of the Bemis® technology. "

"Hi! Great review - thank you. Any idea difference between the challenger and the leader jackets?"

Question by Jeff on 10/2/2015 - 11:35 am
"Both have waterproofing and breathable capabilities. It looks like the Spyder Leader has a waterproof zipper on hand and chest pockets. It also has an anti-abrasion overlay to help guard against scrapes and wear-and-tear. The Spyder Challenger has a powder skirt to keep the snow out of its layers and more of a Bug and Web graphics design on it."

Great looking jacket   Rated: 5/5

Great looking jacket. Removable hood is nice. My 10 year old son LOVES it! It definitely runs small. We actually bought his 2 sizes larger than normal to ensure he has another season out of it.

excellent jacket   Rated: 5/5

Great color combination. Good insulation. Grandson won't wear anything else.
