I have always been a fan of down. I am looking at this jacket as well as the Obermeier Paris jacket. My main issue is warmth. Which jacket would you recommend? Thanks

I am also a big fan of down so I would definitely recommend this one! The Paris jacket only has 160g of insulation (the most we usually see in synthetics is about 200g) so it's not the warmest jacket we carry. In terms of warmth, you're going to be more comfortable in this Spyder jacket!

Does this jacket have a flattering fit. Is it quite bulky or not.

For this amount of insulation, your going to get a little bulk, but Spyder has done it in the most flattering way possible!

Hi, can this jacket be put in the tumble dryer for drying?
Question by Helen

Down ski jackets should be machine washed according to the manufacturer`s care tag and line dried, however, you can also tumble dry separately on the lowest setting to give your jacket lots of room. Include a sneaker or some tennis balls to break up any clumps of down.

is this jacket going to be as warm as the Prevail ???
Question by Maria
11/15/2011 - 8:27 pm
This jacket has a 600 fill down jacket. The Spyder Prevail has 140grams of ThermaWeb which will also keep you really warm but if warmth is your priority you should go with the down jacket.
