This item is described as a "toddler size" with a size range from 2-7. My grandaughter is age 6 and wears a size 6 but I don't consider her a "toddler" and I buy her clothes in girls size 6, not toddler. I am confushed about your sizing on this item. What size would I order for a 6 year old?

You would be looking for a size 6 in the toddler girls merchandise. That would be for a girl that is about 50 pounds and 45" tall. Spyder has a sizing chart that is located to the right of the photo so that you can make sure you are getting the perfect fit. She would also fit into a girls size small. The weight range for that size is between 45 and 60 pounds. She would be able to use the top for a longer period of time with the girls size. You should check out the Spyder Bug DryWEB!
