"Hey I am going to park city middle of next month and was wondering if I would have to put any layers under this jacket other than thermal underwear. What is 40g insulation?"

"40g of insulation is pretty light. In fact most snowboard jackets do not even have insulation as you can get pretty hot while snowboarding. If you want to use this jacket in very cold temps, you will need to make sure you have a proper layering system in place. "

"Does this jacket have a waist gaiter? Not listed in the specs... Would be a dealbreaker. "

"No it does not. Typically, snowboard jackets do not have this feature. We mostly see this feature in ski jackets (which can be used for snowboarding)."

"Hi, in regards to the look of the jacket, is it as glossy as it looks in the picture?"

"It does have a shine to it when the fabric moves. I would not call it glossy."
