if you are going to snowboard for 3plus hours is the coat going to keep you warm and more importantly DRY

This will definitely keep you dry. As for warmth, you would need some thermals underneath depending on how cold it gets. This only has a light insulation.

This jacket is only slightly insulated. It will keep you warm but not in super cold weather. But it is pretty comfy!
