The Snow Angel Fitted Turtleneck top for women is a heavenly shirt. This form-fitting base layer is made from Snow Angels Doeskin fabric. Doeskin is a lightweight and soft fabric that features four-way Lycra stretch, wicks moisture, and dries quickly. A raglan sleeve eliminates chafing while using a backpack. The Fitted Turtleneck layers well for any aerobic winter activity.

is this fabric smooth and somehwat slippery so that the sleeves of a wool sweater will be able to slide, rather than bunch up?

Yes, the material is different from your basic cotton turtleneck. It is 87% Microtherm polyester, 13% Silverclear Lycra so it is going to be slightly shiny (not much) and feel soft and light.
