Pros: Very well constructed, audio controls
Cons: Still have to purchase another connector from Skullcandy's website
This is a great, well constructed shell that can take a beating. The audio controls work, but not right out of the box because you have to go to Skullcandy's website to purchase the connector.
Used the jacket on a trip last week on the icy, then slushy slopes of Gatlinburg, TN. Stayed completely dry and while it was almost 60 degrees the shell breathes well enough so that you're not overheating. Works perfectly with layers to keep warm when the temps drop.
iPhone users: When connecting the audio connector, it gives you the "airplane mode" message, but it turns the volume down way low and immediately starts playing music whether you push a button or not. The first button you push to change the volume, it turns the volume all the way to 0, then allows you to increase the volume. After that initial hiccup, it works flawlessly.
The only real issue I have with the jacket is that Sessions' XL is a bit smaller than other XLs I've worn in the past. If you're larger (I'm 6'4, 255, with a 37" sleeve length), you'll find the jacket a bit tight across the shoulders and a little short in the sleeves. If Sessions had a 2XL, it would be perfect.
