    The Salomon Toundra Mid WP Boot is Salomon's warmest men's boot for guys expecting really cold weather this winter. Salomon loaded the Toundra Boot up with Aerogels&rtrade; insulation, a nano-technology insulation originally developed for NASA. This powerful stuff provides a ton of warmth without a ton of bulk, and is the reason why these boots are cold rated down to -40°F. Of course, the Salomon Toundra is very waterproof so you can avoid the busy sidewalks and trek straight through a pile of slush without a second thought.

    I purchased this boot for snowmobiling and it was great. It was lite and comfortable. The laces were easy to lace up. I liked the fact that the boot also bent at the ankle. My prior boots were very stiff as most boots are. Very good traction as well, better than I expected when I had to climb a steep incline. I don't really know how warm they are by themselves because I use toe warmers but they worked well with these in sub 0 temps. My only gripe is that I wish they were slightly taller.
