The Salomon Guardian 16 Ski Binding allows you to both ski and hike without stepping out of your binding. You can easily use your ski pole to put it in hike mode. The heel will then lift up off the platform allowing you to walk more naturally. When you're in ski mode the Guardian 16 will provide good response more like an alpine binding than an AT. The platform is oversized and the chassis are low-profile, providing quick power transmission to the ski.
