Another technology typically unseen in a down coat is the waterproofing. This coat is actually waterproof rated at 20,000mm so you are going to stay dry even if you stay out in a Vermont sleet storm. Down is breathable, so is the shell fabric, and you get venting as well; in the Ready Jacket you can still ride as aggressively as you like without overheating.
