The inseam on a size medium is 32.5". The only short length pant we carry for Men is the Bogner Rik-T Insulated Ski Pant.

For a 44" waist, I would suggest the 2XL. This brand can have a pretty tailored fit, the 2XL will accommodate a 43.5"-45" waist.

My son ia 6'1" but only weighs 120 lbs. His Spyder Men's Small pants from last year finally fit his waist, but are too short. Would these fit him if he wears jeans that are 30 waist and 34 inseam?

With a 30" waist he should get a size small in this pant. Keep in mind that ski pants are supposed to be short, they will not hit the floor like his regular jeans. So even though the Spyder pants seems short, with ski boots on, they might actually be the perfect length.
