xWarmthOur warmth rating comes from a combination of the insulation type and thickness or weight of the insulation, and how this combined with the garment design affects heat loss and your overall warmth.

Items with higher ratings will be warmer, and will offer you more protection in colder temperatures.
  • Waterproofing: 3/10

A:
"You can take a look at the sizing chart located underneath the Add to Cart feature. These pants are a bit shorter than you need. The longest inseam available is 32-inches. In the waist you could fit into a Large or XL, depending on how tight you like the fit."

"Most mens pants have an inseam of about 32". You would need a long length for a 34" inseam. I would recommend the Spyder Troublemaker Insulated Ski Pant!"

Q:
"Hi....we live in south florida and are planning to ski in Colorado for a 3 days. I need a pair of ski pants for my 17 year old son....not sure if he's a M or L. My questions are 1) if I purchase both sizes can I return one to my local Peter Glenn Store? 2) would you recommend these pants for very little use."

Question by mitzy on 3/6/2013 - 6:00 pm
A:
"You can definitely return anything that you purchase online to one of our store locations. As for the quality, you really get what you pay for with ski gear. These pants are not waterproof so if he falls or if it starts to snow, the water may leak onto his baselayers. That will make him wet and cold. If you're not going to use them much then it might be ok for the 3 days you're there, but they don't offer too much protection. "
