"I'm 6f6 and 210 pounds I worry that this jacket is not large enough. Is it warm enough for all winter skiing"

Question by Hjalti on 1/13/2011 - 11:14 pm
    A:
"Powderhorn's men jackets do tend to run a little small so i would size up. Also, this is a shell jacket and does not have any insulation to keep you warm. You would need thermals and mid layers underneath. "

Far and away, the very best jacket I've ever had! Rated: 5/5

Yesterday I returned from Park City Utah and the Powderhorn "Doc Holliday" was my exclusive choice for travelling. If you size it properly with mid-layers in mind, it will serve a wide range of temperatures and conditions. That being said, Ashley of Peter Glenn Sports is entirely correct: It DOES run small. I normally wear a size small but had to exchange for a medium, which fits perfectly. By the way, while its called a shell, there is some primaloft.
There is no downside to this jacket, be aware however "signal 'red'"
is VERY orange, and that is what I liked best. Nearly every lift ride I took the entire weekend, I heard "NICE jacket!!!" and "Where did you get it?" If you're the gregarious type, GET this coat and prepare to make LOTS of friends.
