Just how bright is the red (Pomegranate)? I'm 60 and don't want to look like a candy apple when I'm wearing the thing, but the price is right so I'm giving it serious thought other than that. Thanks.

The red is comparable to a stop sign red. Maybe just a tad bit darker. It is definitely not a bright apple red. It has a sporty look to it that would look great on all ages!

Classic for a reason

This is my third over the last 12 years or so. When they start to show wear, I donate them so the person getting it will still have several years of good use with the vest looking fine. They last, do the job and are classics for a reason. I'm 6' an about 205 lbs and can wear the "L" or "XL". I have always worn the XL because I like the looser fit around the house in the AM and when zipped up for outside, it works fine. They work in early Spring and Fall without a jacket, but are not really windproof. When it's cold I wear it under a jacket, which is a round-about way of saying I practically live in the thing from September-April. One of the best products Patagonia makes.
