There's a mid-weight insulation which is great because you can use it in a bunch of different temperatures. It helps to keep in body heat when it's cold, but it doesn't overheat you when it's warm. There's underarm venting for a quick cool-down if you need it. Multiple pockets let you load up with gear so you don't have to stop at the lodge.
