"Hello, could you please recommend me what size to order. My daughter will turn 5 next winter (now she is 4,5 years old, height - 43.5" (110 cm)). I have some doubts what size to order: size 5 (41.5-44") or maybe it's better to order size 6 (44,5-47")? Last winter (2012/2013) she had a size 4 in Kismet model, but we had to use I-grow system for the sleeves from January. Thank you a lot!"

"Since she was already using the Igrow in size 4 this past winter, and we are not currently in a winter so she may still grow slightly before needing the jacket, I would go ahead and order the size 6. By the time winter rolls around, it should fit her well enough. It may be slightly big this year but shouldn't be enough where she get's lost when she puts the jacket on. I think size 6 will be good for this year and will then fit her perfectly next year, though you may need to use Igrow next year. "

"Hello, my daughter likes this jacket in China Pink. But I have some doubts regarding printed fabric tape in front of the jacket (with flowers and butterflies). I am wondering, if its durable enough? How will it look like after washing? What kind of fabric is that? Thank you a lot!!! "

"It is a polyester fabric. It is very durable. Obermeyer is one of our top quality brands for children's wear!"

"Does this brand typically run true to size? My daughter is growing out of a few of her size 6 clothes but is generally no where near a size 7 yet (moving toward a 6x, which this brand does not offer). Not sure whether to order the 6 or 7..."

"This brand runs very true to size. You can view the sizing chart here. A size 6 is for a child who is 49lbs and has a chest measurement of 24.5". Size 7 is for a child who is 54lbs and has a chest of 25.5". Hope that helps!"

"My daughter just turned 4. She tall & light: 41.5" height, weight 33#, chest 21, waist 20, hips 22. Based on the Obermeyer size chart I should order a 5 for Height and a 3 or 4 for everything else. I'd like to get more than one season out of the jacket--what would you advise I order?"

Question by HF on 9/12/2013 - 2:22 pm
"I'd recommend the size 4. The height is really more for pant sizing so if that is off then don't worry about it. The 4 should fit her perfectly this year and you can extend the sleeves with the Obermeyer grow feature to get even more use out of it next season as well!"

This is the 3rd year I've bought Obermeyer jackets. The brand is amazing, the glove clips work like a charm and my daughter is always warm. The hood also fits perfectly, so for snowy days I normally use the hood instead of a hat. I love this one (Sun), it looks even better than on the website. The colors are very bright and pop which make it a great snow outfit (I matched it with the pink Dragons Bailey bib, also from this website. The pink is a little different but it doesn't bother me at all).
