What is the length of this jacket? What is the temperature range for the jacket?

Great questions. There is not a set warmth rating for this jacket. The waterproof (5,000 mm) and breathable (5,000 g) rating is pretty good and Insulated with ComforMax® (100 g) is a solid. This will do you well in the winter (with a base layer), fall and spring. Also, the measurement from center-back down is approximately 29-30 inches.

I am 5'11" and I don't know what a 'Classic Fit' is. Is this jacket meant to stop at my waist, backside, or at the top of my thighs?
Question by Mr. Geo

Classic fit means that the jacket is intended to be comfortable and roomy, but not baggy. The centerback measurement is 30.75 inches so that should help you determine where it will hit.

I am looking for a warm jacket that i can wear over a sport coat if need be. Is it long enough? Does Obermeyer have anything car coat length?

The Whistler is such a great looking jacket. It does fit fairly close to the body, so if you are wearing a sports coat under the jacket, it might fit tighter than you want. The length is good, but try this jacket by Obermeyer for a bit more room:

Hi. Is the upper fabric soft? does it have underarm zips?
Question by Vukin

The collar is lined with fleece to make it super soft and it has underarm zip vents to cool you down.

This is not a soft shell jacket so it does have some durability to it. However, it does not make too much noise.

How does Obermeyer's classic fit compared to their non-classic fit jackets? Is is more or less roomy? Thanks.

Obermeyer can have an athletic fit which can be more tailored and form fitting or a relaxed fit which can give you a little bit more room. This jacket however is not going to baggy by any means but will not be the tight athletic fit.
