Q:
"Hello. On the size chart, it says there is not such size as XS in Toddler; however, the size says XS and the description says "Toddler." Can you please tell me what ages this XS is recommended for? I have an almost 2 year old."

Question by Rachel on 11/26/2012 - 12:09 pm
A:
"Obermeyer shows that a size S is for a 1-2 year old, but in my experience you will need the XS. I bought a small for my niece who was 3 and it fit perfectly. I think the size XS would be your best bet since your child isn't quite 2 yet. "

Q:
"I have a 5 year old and I was wondering what size mitten was appropriate...and also, should I be getting "toddler kids" rather than just toddler mittens? Thanks"

Question by SS on 1/4/2014 - 1:23 pm
A:
"If you look at the size chart that we have provided, it says that a 5 yo should be in a size Large. A Toddler and Toddler Kids is going to be the same thing = Toddler. However a Toddler and a KIDS glove/mitten is going to be sized differently as KIDS is for older children. Again, anything on our site that states TODDLER should be for the younger children. "

Question by Crystal Biehl on 1/30/2014 - 3:39 pm
A:
"There is a size chart provided which will help you choose the right size. It looks like the 2yo can probably get away with a size medium and the 4yo can get away with a size large. "

Great mittens for children   Rated: 5/5

These are great mittens for young children. They open wide, so they are very easy to get on and the Velcro closure allows them to fasten snugly and stay on. I gave them to my granddaughters aged 2 and 3 for Christmas and they loved them. Other mittens were always a struggle to get them to wear. They were a great find and I will gladly tell everyone about them.

Great mittens for toddlers!   Rated: 5/5

I searched long and hard to find the perfect mitten for my 3-yr old who loves playing in the snow. These mittens keep her hands warm and dry! Plus with the Velcro on top, they open big and wide making them super easy to put on, and her thumb slides easily into the hole. We purchased a size Medium, which is perfect for her.

I shopped hard for mittens small enough for my toddler. Hard to find a pair that had a thumb. These are AWESOME!!

Only complaint is they run big, but they really are warm, fun and practical!

Easier to get on, warm, excellent quality   Rated: 4/5

I bought these for my two-year-old after struggling to get her Jello-like hands into mittens this winter. The velcro on these mittens allows the mittens to open up almost all the way up to the fingers so the hands slide right in. Very easy to get on. The thumbs are still difficult to get in the thumb hole, however. We haven't managed that yet and that is my only reason for rating the mittens a 4 instead of a 5. Maybe toddler thumbs just aren't meant for thumb holes? We just skip the thumb hole for now and all of her fingers go in the main part of the mitten. Then we fasten the velcro and we're good to go. They don't fall off easily like other mittens have. Very thick, but not heavy. Sturdy. By the way, I ordered a size XS for my two-year-old (27 months old) and they are a little big on her. Seems that they run on the larger side a tad. Overall, I'm very pleased with the mittens and I think I've finally found the mittens that will get us through the winter and probably the next as well.

Where have these been all my life??? I've wasted years struggling to put mittens on my kids. The velcro up the back makes getting these mittens on a breeze. Waterproof, warm & easy to get on....these are the perfect mittens for the little ones that like to play in the snow.
